ammo for 8's and 81's
Hi, I just want to see who else out there collects ammo for the 8 and 81. I have one box of Winchester 25 Rem, one box of Western 32 Remington Autoloading, and 6 boxes of Remington brand 30 Rem, ranging in age from an early Remington/UMC slip top box, to green Remington box with 160 grain FMJ's, a b...

Re: no serial #on 81
I checked under the forearm, and no markings at all. There isn't even a barrel date code on the barrel shroud on the LH side like there should be. And no, no scope mounts or aftermarket sights. no serial #on 81
Hey
I have an 81 in 30 rem that has no serial # on it. Has not been filed off or anything. Has 81 Woodsmaster on it like it is supposed to, just no serial under it. Has anyone seen this before?

Only paid $275 for it in 1998. Traded that one off for what I don't remember now. In 2002, I scored a 30 and 35 f...

New guy
Hi everybody. I just found this sight and I am so happy. I love the 8's and 81's. I have owned 3, but only a rough 81 in 30 Rem. right now. I look forward to learning even more on these great rifles.
