*sigh* wasn't enuff interest to make a go at getting some carry cases made.......the fellow that made mine said he would have to have a goodly order to stop on the saddles for a moment to make them. thank you for those that did inquire, and the ones that sent me pictures of original type cases. :mrg...

done n done....she shot just fine, the barrel DID come out, and it looks as if the buffer had 'glued' itself to the barrel....no corosion, no rust....just YEARS of sitting in a closet, made it dry and the oil glued her up but good! she shoots to point of aim, and at 50yds, was putting them 1" a...

i'll trade mine for LP gas or gasoline.....money is no good anymore!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got a spanner wrench, and the barrel nut un-screwed easy enuff...but the barrel won't "drop-out'....it still has a strong recoil spring pulling it back into the barrel shroud.......what gives??? marc looked at the 8 dis-assembly info again.....looked at the barrel again....my barrel just spri...

well, got to the range.had a friend watch the bolt as i fired.it travels back enuff to re-cock the hammer...not enuff to eject the empty....so suspect, a 'spring cleaning' is in order! i don't understand about the forearm attachment...this dosen't do anything, the takedown screw is located behind th...

thanks! is there a sticky here that give instructions on take-down? i have looked at the obvious, springs seem to function fine, bolt recoil springs etc...i don't have a spanner wrench to take the barrel apart....not really sure how it DOES come apart.........and i am not a pipe wrench fan at all! n...

well, it feeds the rounds from the mag, and ejects fired round....only if i rack them manually.......no problems of "nose down syndrom"

Just got a 1949 81remmington in 300savage. she shoots great, no 'bubba' effects, but she won't throw the empty's out upon firing. after each shot, i rack the bolt and she will throw them clear....when i break her down, the spring action recoil of the barrel assembly seems in fine working order~ anyb...
