Cam,I don't think this wrench was heat treated,the two tips are buggered.Before I try to loosen anything on a gun I use a penetrating formula called BP Blaster,let it set and then loosen the part with out any problem.I'm just going to fix the wrench and heat treat it.J.J.

I used my spanner wrench for the first time last week and the tips on the wrench are now buggered up.Has anyone else had this problem? J.J.Roberts

Cam, I found the Old Story book at the last Chantilly gun show.The Remington 81 with the scope is a new addition,I found it at this show it's an old Weaver go's just right on that 81.Three ring binder on table has some old ad's and a original Bonnie & Clyde wanted poster.It was fun putting this ...

Flanman,I have tryed many penetrating oils,the best one I would recommend is PB Blaster.Any old gun I dissassemble get all the screws lubed with PB Blaster.it work for me,hope this helps everone on the forum. J.J.Roberts

81 Police,I have never engraved a Remington Model 8 or 81,but I would like to find a good candidate.We look for a gun that's not in the best of condition to restore & engrave.I be looking at the next gun show. J.J.Roberts
