Thank you for the replies and information. Let's see if my bid attracts the sellers attention.

I have been looking for a Model 8 in .35 Rem for a couple of years, and have been put off buying as I cannot find one with a metal buttplate. I see 8's in .30 and .32 Rem with the curved, metal plates, but not a .35 Rem. Was the .35 Remington only made with the plastic buttplate?
