Re: Let's Get Technical!
OK, I'm not advocating here that anyone go out and use a model 8 for benchrest competition and I am most certainly not going to start a business accurizing these "sausage stuffers" but I have wondered about the fact that the barrel design is such that it is supported at both ends i.e. the ...

In my experience, every once in awhile, you come across one of these things that really shoot. And I mean REALLY SHOOT!!!!!!!!!! WHY??????????????? .300s-30s-35s doesn't seem to matt...

WHAT A BEAUTIFUL GAL!
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE ORIGIN OF THE MODEL 8 PICTURED ON THE HEADER FOR THE HOME PAGE. I WAS CURIOUS IF THIS RIFLE WAS ACTUALLY OWNED BY ONE OF THE READERS OR ORIGINATORS OF THIS SITE?

Bill Hillis
Was passing through Libby, Montana this week. Decided to stop and look up Bill Hillis after being made aware of him i.e. Remington Society article.
Precision Shooting used to do a spot like this on famous riflemen. Some may find it morbid but I have found these things interesting.- Wed Sep 23, 2009 11:05 am

Re: Ivory Trim
Thanks for the response Pack. I've got this 4 grade model 8 that I picked up that isn't like anything I'm familiar with. It has a white diamond inlay on the forearm that is directly under the takedown screw. I'm sure that this is ivory. The buttplate is of a white material, slightly yellowed with ho...

Ivory Trim
Has anybody out there ever seen a model 8 with a ivory buttplate and ivory diamond inlaid under the forearm takedown screw?
I know about the Zane Grey gun but was wondering if you have seen anything else.

Greetings All! Glad to see other people interested in these old "springpoles". I currently own 2- #4 grades and a standard grade with C grade wood. At one time owned a 1900 but sold it during a moment of dementia. Thanks a million for starting this sight.
