Thanks Joe for the information, everything is tightened up good, the scope is new and I've not tried it on another rifle, I will check that out. I have been shooting my Model 8 in 32 cal. with a scope at a target 100 yards away. The bulls eye is 2 inches across and the black part around it is 6 inches across. Those holes are for a Weaver T-8 , I have one on my model 8. It was very hard to find and very expensive . One thing to keep in mind if you find one is the rings are 3/4 inch not 1inch so unless you modify it you cannot use a modern scope.

Has anybody used a brass catcher on a model 8. I have 200 pieces of 30 cal. brass that have been, "necked up" to 32 cal. and I'm trying to keep them all for reloading. I was wondering if somebody had used one that worked good could they advise me as to what kind to use and where to buy one...

Weaver side mount for top ejection guns . The rings are seperate from the mount and are also removeable . gcro3948
