Re: My first Custom rifle is done!
Thank you all for the kind words. The rifle has a lot of unique features. Got started on a new project rifle today. This one is based on a super slick BRNO vz24 action, rebarreled to 30-06. The stock is a nice dark piece of black walnut, the shadowline cheekpiece has already been carved, fit a Silve...

My first Custom rifle is done!
Almost 6 months to the day we are done! Just a recap, started as a Swedish carbine (16.5" barrel in 6.5x55) that I restocked in a full length Mannlicher style stock. I am an obsessive oddball gun parts hoarder and a lot of them went into this project. Not everyone will like the looks of this ri...

My problem is in between working 50+ hrs a week & 3 kids whatever free time I have is split between numerous projects, a character flaw of mine if you will, lol. At any given time I've got 3 or 4 projects going at the same time. Just had to turn down one of my "bucket list" builds and ...

The standard Model 11 barrels average on ebay between 100-250. The way it sits I would take $100+ 9 to ship , can post pics for you tonight. Has bluing loss and a small ding towards end. Engraving is still sharp, curls around the "browning patent" lettering. I was planning on removing the ...

Awesome find! Its underpriced. Use of decorative antler on guns came into fashion when Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria grew fond of rifles made by the gunmaker Leithner in Bad Ischl. Here is another that sold at auction in Europe: http://www.hermann-historica.de/auktion/hhm63.pl?f=NR_LOT&c=69&am...
