.30 Remington Ammo For Sale
This .30 Remington ammo is surplus to my needs. All four boxes are full of factory ammo that should fire and function fine, although I can't guarantee that they will. The pictures should answer any questions, but please let me know if they don't. $225.00 for all four boxes, shipping by UPS to ConUS ...

Here's a good (bad) example of how not to keep a record. Three different sets of notches for deer, coyotes, & bandits?

35 Remington Brass
No dog in the hunt but I see some 35 Remington brass for sale on the 24 Hour Campfire. Price seems fair (all things considered) and it was just listed. Maybe someone here can use it.

Re: Model 8 tang sight??? and stock
The Lyman tang sight with a letter code D is for the Winchester Model 1894 in 32-40 & 38-55, maybe other calibers & maybe even the Model 1892 in some calibers, but definitely not for a Marlin 1893.

Re: Making .32 Remington Brass
Midway shows to have Redding .32 Remington dies available/ships today for just under $80.00 plus shipping. I don't know if you consider that reasonable but it's better than the RCBS dies for $150.00. They show up on ebay once in a while. I got a nice set of Hollywood dies in .30 Rem. for around $35....

Re: .30 Rem. Followed Me Home
Joe, Thanks for all the information on my rifle. I knew the 3 on the barrel and receiver meant it had been back to the factory for repairs at one time but wanted to be sure I was reading the barrel date and serial number right. I've seen the Lyman and Marbles sight blanks but they have all had a poi...

I forgot to add that the serial number stamped in the buttstock is 4100 4 (with the spaces). I can post a picture of that if need be.
Thanks,

.30 Rem. Followed Me Home
Here's a new one to me. I think I've deciphered some of it but need help from the experts. In addition to the pictures I will say the bore is quite good with a couple of dark spots that may clean up. The wood is proud of the receiver (for the most part) on the buttstock. It's marked 30 REM. on the b...

No dog in this hunt. Looks to be a reputable seller with .30 Remington brass for sale on the 24hourcampfire forum. Fair price but no mention of manufacture brand.

Model 14
Here's a couple of pictures of my Model 14. It was made in 1917 and is chambered in .30 Remington. A lot of the bluing is worn off and the buttstock is a little rough, but the bore looks perfect. The rear sight is a really cool King Model 200 and the front is a King also. I hope to get her to the ra...

I'll take the repro buttplate that you offered me. Also will take the .32 Redding dies and the .32 Remington brass.
Give me a total and let me know how you would like to be paid.
Thanks,

Joe,
Thanks for the link. That truly is one beautiful outfit. I especially like the attention paid to all the small details.
I wasn't planning anything that elaborate, but it does inspire me to continue on.
Thanks again,
Jerry

Barrel Change
Were the barrel assemblies on Model 8's & 81's hand fitted to each receiver or are they able to be installed on a different receiver without any worry of headspace problems? I realize you would need to stay with the same size cartridge head because of the bolt. I just thought a switch-barrel rif...

So what does my buttplate belong on?

Model 8 Buttplate
What is the right buttplate for a Model 8 of 1909 vintage? My 25-35 has no stock and I would like to find the right buttplate for a replacement stock.
I have this one but don't think the it's right one. It seems to me I've seen one like it but with the Remington logo on it.
Thanks,
Jerry
