Re: HELP!!!!
Well after inspecting the threads in the boss for the stock screw I could see it had been cross threaded So after using a ball gage to mike it I realized it had to be taken up to a 1/4" thread. Soooo I recut the threads to 1/4"-20 thread and then took a 1/4"-20 countersunk screw and s...

Re: Reloading Question for the 81
The standard load for many years was 2700 FPS to match the "06" which in 1920 was 2700 FPS. So a good load of IMR 4064 to 2700 should be perfect. I shot hornady's superammo thru it and brass came out looking great-primers still had plenty of radius and firing pin mark was nice and round, n...

Well it didn't turn out half bad
Bought it off of GB and the seller grossly miss represented that there were problems with the rifle. My first reaction was to demand my money back he balced and since I paid him with a post office money order I filed a complaint with the FTC and I emailed a copy of it to the seller. Re: HELP!!!!
Thanks guys, yes I saw that on mine it's been cross threaded at the top before. It still has good threads through most of the hole. I have been watching on eBay, and I have it on call from numrich
I may just find me a screw of the proper length and thread then machine the head to fit.
