My project Model 8 is missing the buttplate. The stock measured along the bottom wood is 11 3/4 inches long and the buttplate area is only 4 1/8 inches long ? Has this stock been shortened from original length ? Thanks for the info

Picked up a project Model 8 and the action spring tube is broken off in the receiver hole. I read it is soldered in and has a fine thread. Anyone have any ideas on removing the broken tube piece inside ? Thanks for any help .

WTB for Model 8, rear sight, tang screw for straight stock, action spring tube and pin, butt plate and screws, measures about 4 1/8 X 1 1/2 inches, thanks
