Here is a neat and very late production model 8 rifle in 32 Rem. It has the semi pistol grip or flat knob pistol grip style butt stock. It's the only C-grade I have seen in that configuration. Canuck I just picked up these two boxes of Dominion ammo. The red box is different it's two piece but lays flat. Both boxes have factory seals so I hate to open them but want to in the worst way ! John Taylor

I didn't want to post member who I bought it from and who did the beautiful refinish job with out his consent so we talked last night and there was no problem. Well this a is new gun to me and a quite rare gun I would say. According to Cam in the "Grades of 8s and 81s" this is one of two 81 E grades to surface so far from what he has seen. This one I bought from another "Great mod 8" site member. He bought it back in 2022 off GunBroker....

I did see that residue of varnish on sides of butt plate and figured possibly they varnished it with butt plate in place ??? Any thoughts or definitely an added coat. It certainly wasn’t sanded !! What does everyone think should do ?? Take butt plate off and clean off the varnish or just leave it ??...
