Looking for model 81 butt stock
I need an 81 butt stock that has not been cut. Would take complete stock set or if you had an ugly 81 with a bunch of extra holes in receiver that would work. Please let me know. John Taylor

I was very happy happy to receive the 2nd quarter Remington Journal yesterday with a beautiful model 8 on the cover and some nice write ups by Cam inside !!

I did see that residue of varnish on sides of butt plate and figured possibly they varnished it with butt plate in place ??? Any thoughts or definitely an added coat. It certainly wasn’t sanded !! What does everyone think should do ?? Take butt plate off and clean off the varnish or just leave it ??...

Here is something cool to look at . I just bought this from another member it's an April of 1949 mod 81 in 300 sav. It also has the Kreiger conversion on it which I really like. But this I find pretty cool. It has a Weaver KV Variable scope on it. The scope is 1" and is variable from 2 3/4 X 5 ...
