Hello,
Does anyone have a Williams 5D receiver peep sight on their Model 8 or 81? If so, did you have to alter or replace the front sight? Did you have to install a taller/ shorter one? Any information would be appreciated. Thanks

Installing Scope on Stith Scope Mount
I have a Stith mount for a Remington 81 that currently has a Lyman All-American 2 1/2x scope in it. I want to swap it out for a vintage Burris Fullfield 2.5x. It seems the Lyman scope was installed by unscrewing the eyepiece part the focuses the reticle off, sliding the scope into the mount, and the...

Re: Stith Side Scope Mount Screw Thread Size
I’m digging the ideas of an attaching piece of picatinny rail using the holes for the rear sight and placing an Sig Romeo 5 RDO on it. Anyone know the hole spacing for the rear sight?

Re: Failure to extract? Failure to eject
I’m going to rotate the scope and give it a try. If it still does it I’ll use a peep / receiver sight. Also, I’m going to take the bolt out and inspect the ejector/ spring. My gunsmith thought is seemed rather loose.

Failure to extract? Failure to eject
Hello, Took my newly purchased model 81 out to the range. Started with one round loaded to see if the bolt would stay open upon firing. As the rifle fired, the spent case would not eject; it would just lay on top of the mag follower. At that point, I didn’t load more than one round in the mag. What ...
