Forgot to mention that the barrel shroud boss for the fore-end screw when i look into it almost appears as if it was tapped for a larger screw because the bottom of the opening seems narrower and cylindrical but theres no threads left down there.

The screw I found that works with the escutcheon is literally an old light switch plate centre screw. I feel like in my memory that the "screw" that held it on that it came with was two pieces, like a screw into a screw. Im not sure what to do. Maybe this is more a gunsmith problem. Ive re...

Thanks for the photo! The screw I had was not the sling screw style, I recall that much. Ive found a screw that matches the threads on the forearm/fore-end escutcheon threads, but not the threads that attach it to the barrel shroud which seemed to be a larger diameter. But at least that gives me som...
