What's crazy is it's got a cut-down POE magazine.

*FOR SALE* FN 1900 - WOODALL Collection
If you're looking for the creme de la creme of 8/81 collecting, look no further than the Fabrique Nationale built Modele 1900 (aka FN 1900). These were the Cadillac's of the John Browning long-recoil patent. This is the actual gun I used to help write the FN 1900 article (https://thegreatmodel8.net/...

C-grades are jawdroppers to me...yours is a beauty!
I checked some of my files and found a few flat-knob C grades as examples from collections and the web. I've never done a deep dive into this configuration but it's not common. As you can see some have cheeks and other don't.

Excellent observations fellas. This detachable magazine configuration is not a one-off, but it is rare. I don't know did them, I've always just called them the "6-Round magazine conversion". There are 3 rifles (all Model 81's) that I know of and are constructed basically the same. 81 #2997...

Hibby's on POINT! He is correct, M.L. Stith mount. Keep an eye out on ebay or gunbroker, they do show up occassionally. You could also make a post on the forums to see if any members have one for sale. They are amongst the best scope mount setups for the 8/81 platform IMO

Regarding the photos, yes historically we have had a limit on the size of photo posted. I went ahead and changed that, however, to a larger allowable file size. Hopefully that helps other folks in the future!
