Working on FN 944 today, it has the V in a box stamp as well - on many parts
Interesting with the FNs, most everything is stamped with the serial number as well

What was really interesting was that the barrel would not move in the shroud when doing a function test!! I've not yet encountered, here in Kanada, an 81 in anything but 300 S or 35 R - I'd grab any in 32!
I have run across a couple of "EEK" examples when opening up the barrel jacket, all turned out OK so far.
