Anyone know if the brass clips are older or if the steel ones are after market? Mine are brass.

Looks like it had 4 screws giving pressure on the mount to tighten the dovetail. Someone possibly added a homemade peepsight.

Thanks I understand what your saying about condition overall, but I was trying to get an estimate as to how much extra it would add to the gun if I decided to sell it later. This rifle I bought has a Pachmayr tip off scope mount with a cheap scope. But what I'm wondering is -how much more desirable is it to have the Krieger conversion and what value would that add to the rifle?
