Hi I have a Lyman folding rear sight in excellent cond'n ,no screws, to trade for a barrel jacket sling swivel or swivel set. Send message thanks Jim. ps I paid 60$ for the sight.

Hi, I have a 2 screw folding Lyman sight that replaces the buckhorn type.Its in excellent shape minus the screws and would trade for a barrel jacket swivel for my 81 .Let me know, Jim

Oh yeah!!!!!!!!!!! I took another one I had apart ....ALLAPART!!!!!!!!!!!!!! took 3 days to get it all back and working .....my fingers hurt for a week ....never again LOL jim

serial #'s on parts model 81
I took my 81 stock off to clean up some scratches and discover the serial stamped on the back of the butt plate,on the underside of stock,on the trigger guard, the barrel jacket and on therear tang, Is this normal?? all matching parts ? just very curious. thanks jim

Hi ,I just bought an 81 in 300 sav , and reading that its not "strong " enough!! I'll just be using factory ammo so.........Should I be worried??? Tales of blow ups etc. have me concerned. I hunt mostly deer and moose up here and ranges are usually less than 200 yds. Am I safe to go?? Than...

I tried firing my recently purchsed 81 and the fist 2 of 3 rounds didn't fire. I put in three and released the bolt and CLICK!! worked the bolt again..CLICK.. now with only 1 round in BANG! Hi, I fired it today at the farm and its just great...BUT.. I need aproper butt plate. What should I look for?? It had an old Pachmayer pad which was disintigrating and removed.
