Jackitis alive and well

Post by jack1653 »

Hey Guys,

Happy New Year to one and all. I thought I would let all of you know that the "jackitis" is still alive and taking its toll on its namesake. :o I have fallen victim to the dreaded addiction and have added a couple more to the stable this past week. What a way to start a new year. I thought that maybe I had escaped the tendency after having fallen victim so many times, but alas, such is not the case. :( While I complain about this jackitis, it seems to bring a sense of relief and satisfaction when I give into the temptation.

Now, for those of you who would like to add to my weakness of jackitis, let me asssure you that I can hardly resist the temptation if the right rifle comes along. With that in mind, let me ask your assistance in helping me to fill a niche in my desire to complete another niche in my collection. I would very much like to find five (5) specific rifles that in of themselves are not unique but have been seemingly trying to avoid my ability to purchase them.

I would very much like to find the following years to comple a set that I have been working on for many years. I would like to buy a Model 8 for the years of 1921, 1925, 1932 and 1934 with the correct barrel codes for those years. I also need a Model 81 for the year 1945 with the correct barrel codes. I would consider trading or outright purchase if any of you might want to consider that option.

Roger, if you happen to see this, check your inventory to see if you might have anything that I might be interested in acquiring.I don't have access to the gun shows that many of you do so finding one relies on those of you who do make the shows. I know you said that you were going to thin the herd and if I can help, let me know.

Regards,

jack1653

Here is hoping that the dreaded "jackitis" will find its way to you and leave me alone for a little bit.

Jack,I will check out my guns and see if any fit your needs. It may take a little while though, because my rifle deer season starts tomorrow. It will be the only season that i will hunt this year. It only lasts thru Jan. 20 the.
Thanks for your time,
Roger

Hey Jack, I'd love to help but I don't have anything right now that would work for you. The 81 I thought might work is actually from 1947, not 45. I'll'let you know if I come across anything that will work.
Thanks for your time ,

If the pictures are any indication Jack's disease is terminal. Wish I had it that bad... ;)
