Length of pull on a 81 from 1946 in .300 sav? It has a recoil pad and I assume REM didn't add those! Other than that, rifle is minty and I would like to sell it. I have no clue on value. A fair offer? thanks for help...JC

Welcome to the forum. I think you are right about the recoil pad not being a standard issue. As far as value, you can check on GunBroker.com to get some comparative prices. Altered rifles don't tend to bring as much as unaltered but every once in a while, a real good one comes along and blows that theory all to heck. My guess is that the average price is in the $600-$800 range and again that depends on the condition of the wood and the bluing.
You may want to consider moving your post to the WTS section of the forum where it may get more viewing.
