Hello all. Very excited to be a privileged owner of a 1941 Remington model 81 chambered in 35 remington. I walked into a small gun store 14 years ago and placed my grimey hands on a model 81. I was there to pick up a carbine and remember the heft and workmanship of the remington. I put it down and remember thinking to myself that was a "awesome" rifle. Last year among the various websites I stumbled along this website. We'll done gentlemen. As I visited this site and thought to myself "I remember that rifle", well now you all have created another drooling idiot hell bent on owning another of Browning's wonders. I must say the 35 remington is Awesome! The hogs say, we'll they don't say anything they usually just fall down. DRT as we say. (dead right there)
Thanks for the site gentlemen. It is a wealth of knowledge and I look forward to browsing and posting in the future. Looks like I will have to obtain a 300 savage in the near future. I would not want the the 35 remington to be without company.
First model 81. Thanks for a great site.

We're glad you found us Rock Biter
Your Model 81 looks in very nice condition, but I think there's a problem. You're right it does need a companion
haha
