Hi all,
Picking up a new to me revolver on Monday, what did my eye spot?
You guessed it, a pretty nice Model 81.
I came back the next day to check it out. I was all set to talk him down to $400 from $600 due to it being in .32 Remington.
He walks back and starts putting boxes of ammo on the counter.
I walked out later in the day with the gun and 90 rounds of ammo, and 10 empties.
It has a Williams peep and is missing the original rear sight.
Other than that it looks really good.
Jim

Re: Another new fan!
Congratulations Jim on your Model 81 in 32Rem! The addition of the ammo really sweetened the pot
Among the standard production calibers, the 32Rem is probably the most scarce caliber in that model. I believe the 32Rem in the Model 81 was only produced up until around 1946. You're going to have fun with your new-to-you 81!

It is a Williams.
Should I remove it to check for rust?
Also should I consider tearing down the barrel for a cleaning?
Those videos you guys have are awesome.
