Schools been out almost a month for me, one thing I've been able to do is practice my sewing skills with my "new" birthday Bernina 350 machine. (My wife's gift to me in April!) I posted a few pics of the "button replacement" mods I did on my multicam ACU shirt - got rid of the velcro cuff take-up tabs, made buttonholes, added buttons.
Yesterday I followed up on something I really wanted to get done - and to see if it was possible with my new skillset - relocate the zipper 3/4 of an inch or so to "loosen" the fit of this medium sized shirt to almost a large.
It came out pretty well, I must say - used tan thread on the upper spool, black (more of it on hand) for the lower bobbin, for the hidden side.
Also relocated the velcro "keeper" panels, came out well, also. Got some other sewing projects done too - pretty soon the quilting will be happening! the practical sewing has been fun, though.
