feed problems

I am having feed problems with my mod. 8, .35 Rem. It will feed everything but the last round which stovepipes. My guess is the mag spring. I cannot find a mag spring for it. Any ideas for finding mag springs or modifying another spring. Any sources for magazines as well? I would greatly appreciate some help. I have tried various loads, but the problem is the same. Other than this problem, the rifle shoots great. Consistantly hitting plates at 260 yds using tang sight.

Hey sionics, often times the mag spring is simply installed backwards into the magazine box. Before you source another mag spring, you may consider checking the orientation of the spring. The ends of the spring must point to the rear of the magazine.

Thank you 81 police for the response. I have already checked the mag spring, and it is in the correct position. Still need a source for new mag springs, magazine and modification of an existing spring. Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Another note, are you an LEO? I am currently an LE instructor for the state of La.

Your best bet is to watch auction sites like ebay or gunbroker for a mag spring, I've seen them occasionally. There's no current reproduction springs that I know of.
