Barrel lock spring question

Hello!! If the spring broke off the barrel lock from my Model 81, can I easily insert a new spring without buying a new lock too? How is this done? What holds it in place? I notice some of the springs for sale don't have the curled eyelet end that inserts into the lock. Are those broken?

Bob,
It's great the detail you put in your photos for GB. However, the sold pages on Broker expire. Our members really appreciate your input as well. Thanks all for the help. I am replacing the spring. I barely touched it while cleaning it and it broke in two. Guess it was in bad shape.
