Nice looking 8 in 32. I relented and sold one like it awhile back to help fund my sickness for custom mausers. Seeing yours makes me miss it. You look like you might have been the feller that sawed that stack of lumber. If so post some pictures of the mill.
I`m bringing a good supply of ammo including 32 to the Great8 Event at Jack`s place end of July. Come join us and sure we can get some more pictures of members with their 8`s and 81`s. South Carolina not that far from Illinois.

Fedoras and overalls- you boys remind me of grand dad, uncles, and me. My dad hasn't worn them since the Dust Bowl- and he says he aint starting now!! Nice model 8- I want one like that . Best, Thomas.
Wonderful photos fellas. Olskool, that rifle was just made for you and the South Carolina whitetail woods.
I will post one when the Model 8 I just bought reaches my grubby paws. It is a .30 Remington made in 1913. Hope to add a peep soon.
I feel like I am living in tall cotton having my pick of PRVI brass from Graf's or Jamison from Buffalo Arms. Great time to own a Remington Model 8.
I just might have to look into buying a pair o' bibs, too.
I don't have a picture of me with my model 8 but here's one of it by itself. Just as well. I'm kind of a homely cuss. It has a short stock, and am told by the previous owner it was from the factory that way. It is chambered for the mighty 25 Remington.
Got a pic of my two contributions to the forum.
One is 1919 vintage Model 8 (right side)
Other is 1910 vintage and pre dates the Model 8 moniker(left side). I believe they just referred to it at Remington as the Remington Autoloading Rifle?
