My first 1900 .35

First post here. Bought, after many years of looking, a FN1900 .35 yesterday. No ammo so far but that is a minor question for the moment. So glad to find one. It is in almost new condition.

Might need advice from you prfessionals in here!

Your FN was probably made around 1924-1925. FN records are not like Remington's records. We have put together a very informative article on the FN 1900 that I'd recommend checking out. If you're able to share more photos we would love to see them! What country are you in?

The rifle is in a condition almost as new from factory. Will take better pictures today when home from work.

My intention for this rifle is to hunt with it. Moose, wild bore and deer. It shall be used - but with respect.

It was at a auction here and I was the only (!? ) bidder. Payed around 800 USD.

Nice to see another Swedish 1900-owner here! Yours look fantastic, great find. Never seen one that nice in Sweden.

I also hunt with mine. I have spent quite some time developing loads for hunting that meets the requirements for moose/wild boar etc. Also some lighter loads for hunting and practise. I'd be happy to share what I've come up with. Factory ammo is virtually impossible to find in Sweden...

So glad to find this forum. Just love my Auto-5 and the I own a FN1900. To good to be true... Ok, have removed the old varnish and oiled the stock. An old leather sling fits nice! The about 100+ years old gun box fits nice as well.
