i just buoght a model 81

i just bought a model 81 in 300 savage but ive been reading that the 300 savage was to hot for the gun and should be down loaded, ive heard the factrey ammo can hurt your gun, is this true, or can i take her out and shoot her with factrey ammo, also i reload can i reload cast bullets with any susesss

I reckon if factory ammo was too hot they wouldn't have kept mfg it for 10 years. I think the .300Sav was the near the limit for this action. No problems that I know of, I recommend 180gr. factory ammo. That's what I shoot in mine. Good luck!

thanks 81police, thats kind of what i thought, but someone posted that it was not safe, and not yet shooting mine i wanted to make sure it was ok before i did,
