We’re there any factory made nickel plated mode 81 in 25 Remington?

Highly doubtful unless it was a one off gift gun or something. Anything can be plated after the fact. Any model 81 in .25 Remington would be exceedingly rare to begin with.

Sounds like someone either polished it or spent the money to have it plated.
