I'm just finding out about this particular used parts vendor.
They have some useful parts for the 8/81 series listed. In fact, I'm about to make an order. Anyone work with these folks in the past? Thank you.

They were first rate to deal with in my opinion. I bought a hard to find part from them for a Beretta 70s.

Hey Adam,
I’ve ordered many times from Jack First. Always been pleased with their products and services. Just keep in mind that some reproduction parts may need minor fitting work.

Thanks for your endorsement, Roger. I do appreciate it. They had some spare parts I wanted to have on hand for my springpoles, so I went ahead and placed my order.

Nice to hear such positive reports about JACKFIRST.
A few years back I inquired them over the phone to order a few items, unfortunately they were out of stock.
Good luck getting what's needed for your rifle Adam.

Thumbs up and five stars to Jack First. Have ordered from them around three times, last time when looking for and unable to find magazine spring for Mod 81, 35 Rem I bought online that had a spring that didn't work (suspicion that it was from a Rem 700 rifle). Seller who ran a gun shop advised he had bought the gun from a guy who advised it was in his deceased grandfathers collection. First's lists not only original parts when they can get them but newly manufactured parts made to Remington specs. Hey, there can be some who look down at newly made not original parts but when original aren't available, you have to get what is. Read a review not long ago on another forum by a Rem 8/81 lover who advised he had bought some of Firsts new manufactured 8/81 parts from Jack First and that they were in every way identical to original and of high quality.
IMO better than buying parts off of eBay from gun raper's who buy guns such as the Mod 8 and 81, tear them down and sell the parts. Ya see them off and on, the same seller selling every part needed to construct a whole firearm. Was watching a Model 81 several years ago on GunBroker. Stock had several unique dings on it as did the forearm. A week or so after it was sold a seller on eBay listed every part needed to replace in a 8/81. A short time later he listed a stock, forearm, and barrel (same caliber as in GB rifle). Never saw the receiver, don't think eBay allows receiver to be sold. Same exact dings that were on the GB offering. I still had the GB 81 on my watch list and compared. I messaged the seller and asked him if he was "so and so" who won the 81 in question on GB and was now selling it as parts. He responded and said something about proof and free country. Responded back advised I did and yes this is a free country but advised him what I thought of sellers as him. Nothing back from him. Hate to see great and no longer made firearms end up like this. Just sayin!
