Hi All
This may be a ROOKIE question but.......I just acquired a Lyman AT peep sight but cant seem to adjust it to be effective.
I don't want to force an adjustment but nothing seems tto move to get the stalk high enough to look over the "hump"
ANYTHING is welcome I feel so damn dumb!

Re: ADJUST LYMAN TANG SIGHT
Curious to see what people have to say on this. One day I plan to acquire one of these, so if I run into the issue I shall now know myself
I love the quote you have also attached.

Re: ADJUST LYMAN TANG SIGHT
Sir, I have many Marbles and Lyman peep sights for M8and M81s. I’m not sure what you are asking, but I’ve never had any that wouldn’t adjust high enough. On the Lyman, usually there isn’t a height lock like the Marbles has. Turn the knurled section on the stem either way to go up or down. If it’s locked in place you may have to soak it with something like PB Blaster to break it loose. Even in brand new condition ,it should turn relatively easily. Although I’ve had some that were somewhat stubborn until oil was applied.Thats about all that I can tell you.

Many thanks I was afraid to apply too much force to try and turn the knurled stem part in fear that I was forcing something which was not intended to move.
Ive had it soaking overnight in Balistol so I will give a try to turn it.
Thanks again!

OldSetter.
I would suggest an immersion bath overnight/couple days in oil/diesel/kerosene or dealer's choice to help soak in, even a few treatments between wiith heat from a hair dryer won't hurt.
The sight appear to be factory true "not modified or fooled with?"

Appears new (no box) but the blue is new looking and it is marked in very small letters AT under the base and an almost too small to see lyman under the knurled section on the base.
It appears new and I sure paid for it its new looking looking appearance.
