Scope an FN1900

Post by canuck »

Hi all, does anyone recognize these scope mounts?
I’m thinking European of some sort
Being that the mounts are numbered, I wonder wonder what the chances would be of finding rings that would work

Yes- European.
Claw mounts. A precision fit, detachable scope setup.

They've always piqued my interest. I don’t own a firearm with them.

Very common german style claw base. The rings are still available but need to be hand fit . Any gun shop should be able to get a pair and fit them.

These mounts are available for soldering on, or standard ring so you may change the optics on the base.

Thanks guys
Randy, I will pass your info onto the fellow who owns this rifle. He wants to remove the mounts and patch/refinish the receiver but I think they are too cool to get rid of!
His rifle to do as he wishes of course.

Speaking of scopes on FNs
Here is one that just arrived, a vintage Weaver KV in a Pachmayr swing away side mount
