A man named Pierre contacted me in regards to his mannlicher style stocked Model 8. This is one competely custom Model 8, I've never seen anything like it!

Indeed. Any more info/history on it?

Per the owner,

"The serial # of the barrel and of the action are a match, 52xxx which dates it in the 1925 or so.
The number impressed on the inside of the forestock is 504130 R

You probably noticed the white inserts that adds to the character of the rifle.
The blue is certainly not pristine, you would probably say its quite faded.
BUT it shoots great, around 1 inch at 50 yards

I bought it because it has character, the butt has 12 notches on it so it probably was used as a deer rifle

Sounds like "Notches" dressed up. :D I think you need this rifle. ;)

Thanks for you and the owner sharing it.
