Model 81 in .35 Rem with Stith mounted Texan scope

Heading in to Dallas this morning to pick it up. They have a banged up one in .300 Savage I am going to look at as well, but looks overpriced for someones ex-truck gun. I prefer scopes for deer hunting and sighting in at the range with my bad eyes, so the .32 can stay unmolested now. 3 more calibers to go . Pics:

I can remember when I said "only three calibers to go". Let me tell you that it won't stop at three. You have the bug and the relief is to buy, buy, buy and then the Mrs. says bye, bye, bye.

Which ones are you looking for? I'm about to post a couple I noticed on GB, at least one looks like a real sleeper.

I saw those you put up. I think a .25 will be next unless I come across a .300 Savage with a scope that I like. I noticed in the auctions that it is quite a bit cheaper to find one with a sight/scope than finding one later.

Indeed, good observation. And, so far I've done well getting them as a package, as the scopes have been very clear and useable but if not - the old 1" scopes are rather cheap if you are not too picky - the mounts are another story entirely as you well know.
