Peculiar Model 8 auction
This early Model 8 recently sold for $500. It's pretty rough, has been reblued and it's stock was cut and an extension added, plus a tapped receiver for that Redfield sight. Not something you'd think would go for decent money however if you look closely it actually has a Peace Officer Equip Co extended forearm. How did it get on that gun?!? No telling!

And, so we learn...
Until you started pointing this out, I did not know the forearm was that distinctly different on a Police. Interestingly enough during my innocent-ignorant period I came across a rifle similar to this (same one?) but neither I, the seller, nor the shop had a clue. Think I’ll see if anyone knows what happened to that rifle.
