Stripper Clips for 8's and 81's

I have a couple of brass stripper clips that fit the .30 Rem. 81 that I have. Do the protrusions on the clips go into the receiver on stay on top? The ones that I have will not insert into the receiver. The clips are marked 30 Remington.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

That's what I thought it should do, however the clips for the .30 will not go into the groove.

Doesn't sound like they're Remington 8/81 stripper clips to me.

They are marked 30, 32 on the clips, it is possible that they may be for a different model rifle.

the little 'ears' located in the middle of the clip are stops, so the clip doesn't go in too far.
