Well, it's only been around 40 day since I posted that information, no wonder the auction is over.

Clem, I can read dates, no need for sarcasm! This is simply a different way of skinning the same cat so I'll let you all know how well it works when I receive and try it.

No sarcasm intended, just noting that it's been a while so the auction would of ended. The seller did relist the items, so there will be a chance that they might still be avaliable.gcp wrote:Clem, I can read dates, no need for sarcasm! Good luck with your rifle, those barrel nuts and barrel jacket bushings can be a pain to take off.

Re: Spanner Wrench
Glad to hear it Clem, it's hard to judge through a post only.
My issue is the opposite, the barrel nut was so loose that I took it off by hand so after a real good cleaning I'd like to properly tighten with a spanner wrench. Hoping to get the most accuracy out of this rifle!

Re: Spanner Wrench
My #8 is a 1912, .30 Rem. rifle. I took it apart and cleaned it up. I also replaced the recoil spring and buffer spring. Seeing how my rifle is 100 years old, with dirt, gunk and spring set, I didn’t want any metal to metal contact where there was none designed to be.

Re: Spanner Wrench
Contact Bob on his GB listings, I'm sure he has several more of those spanner wrenches and has other handy tools listed.

Re: Spanner Wrench
I'd like to get ahold of a spanner wrench for a 35 Rem. mdl 81.
My local gunsmith gave me the cold shoulder.
I've never seen the inside of mine.
any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Re: Spanner Wrench
try Bob with Circle B Ranch. He has two versions...a reproduction of the factory spanner wrench and a heavy duty "Pro-Tools" set.
