I haven't seen on this site, but does anyone know a website where a scan of an original Remington factory manual for the M81 can be found? I googled, but didn't find anything.

Great, that tells me what I want to do. Guess I'm not familiar enough with the site to find it on my own.

I got one of those manuals from Remington. It looked like it had been Zeroxed half a million times or so. It was almost illegible. The pdf manual you linked to is much better quality.

I have manuals for the Remington 81's. They're 8 pages with the parts breakdown, list of parts, how to etc. You get two manuals, one early Model 81, one late Model 81. I also include two extras! A rare 4 page copy of Remingtons "Special Sights for Rifles" and a two page "Model 8 High Power Autoloading Rifle" components parts and parts listing. These are $11.95 per set plus $2.50 first class with delivery confirmation in heavilly cardboard protected manilla envelope. These are NOT the blotchy, greenish hued, creased, folded, can't see, can't read scanned poor copies. These are made from new clear, crisp master copies that have been digitally enhanced to remove 99% of the creases, folds, etc. They are printed on period correct heavy paper like the originals as well. Why pay $7 - $9 for one poor quality "scanned" worn out 8 page manual! I have these available on GB or you can email direct to:

We will be away for Holidays and currently have stopped auctions and sales until our return January 5, 2011. We will also have the spanner wrenches back in stock as well as the pro takedown tools for the Model 8's & 81's.
Merry Christmas to all and Happy New Year! God Bless!!
