I am a gunsmith in MO and recently had a model 8 in 35rem come in. It has a 15rd detachable magazine that says "peace officers equipment company St. Joesph, MO" on it. The serial number on the magazine and the receiver match sn# 66XXX. It came to me because it is missing the barrel lock and magazine indicator, i have found a magazine indicator but have not been able to find a barrel lock. Any information that anyone can give me on value and any were i can get parts would be appreciated. Pics to follow soon.

Police Model 8/81's did not come with magazine indicators, they were removed either by Peace Officers' Equip Co or by Remington. The barrel lock must be modified to work with the 15 round magazine. I can supply you with a barrel lock. I will send you an email so we can talk about it more in detail.
