WTB Winchester 1905 SLR (.35)

Post by 45guy »

I'm slowly attempting to gather all that has been lost over the past several years. I've located a rather cheap beater on Guns America. I may end up going that route, but I'm hoping someone here may have a lead on a deal. The ugly as sin model 8 on the bottom made its way home and is in desperate need of being shot... Now the SLR is needed...

I've always lusted after the Winchester 1910 (.401) SLR, but they are scarce. Every one I've seen for sale has been either priced at substantially more than I could pay or was in crummy condition. Actually, I'd like to buy any Winchester SLR in good condition at a good price. The nicest 05 I ever saw had been converted to .30 Carbine, so no sale on that one.

That would be nice! As a matter of fact the funky German .401 the guy I work with is even nicer..

Well, it's not an '05, but I found a 1929 vintage 1907 SLR to keep my 1929 model 8 company. The 1919 Police Positive goes well with them too. :)

Indeed. Pictures looks good. Now all you need to do is move some of that white stuff to see if it shoots too. Great find.

I'll definately be taking them out this week, snow or not! On a side note, does anyone have any .351 ammo or brass they need to part with?
