I know this could be a broad spectrum but I am quite new at the Model 8/81 buying. Since I have one now, I know I will want more. What are some average prices for Model 8s and Model 81s? I would hate to go to a gun show, see a decent looking model 8 for $900 and then find out it that it would only be worth that much for a Premier Grade and I just spent $400 more than it's worth.

I have been going through Henwood's book, learning all the markings, stock styles, etc. Hopefully I would not get taken by someone, like the guy on GunBroker that listed a modified 81 as a police rifle awhile back.
