this boar weighs about 200+ pounds. You can see the hide which is over 3/4" thick in the photo. The caliber is 300 Savage and the bullets are 170 grain Nosler Partition RN. I'm shooting them at 2375 fps from my Remington 81. The shot was at a bit over 60 yards. Bullets penetrated the shoulder, breaking bone and wrecking the vitals. One was found against the hide on the opposite side and the other made an impression on the opposite side hide and came to rest just before breaking through. Bullet weights are now 94 grains with 53.5% weight retention. This is exactly what Nosler told me to expect.
