Out of curiosity, can someone tell me when they started stamping Model 8 on the side of the receiver?

the "MODEL 8" receiver markings started in the mid 1920's. The first ones still had the serial number stamped on the bottom of the receiver, then later the serial number ended up on the side with the "MODEL 8".
