Question About A Marbles R6 Tang Sight
Posted: Tue Sep 13, 2011 3:05 am
I could use a tad of help here .........
I've seen some conflicting information about tang sights for a model 8 or 81. Is the Marbles R6 preferred, rather than a Lyman 1A AT model?
I have a Lyman 1A AT tang sight that needs a good bit of work to align properly with the barrel centerline ( ... it leans several degrees ).
Of course, - this could be corrected by gently filing the base of that sight or placing some shims under one side.
Somewhere in the past, I thought that I saw some mentions about the Marbles R6 tang sights including a 'windage adjustment'.
Would someone with more knowledge please 'chime in' on this issue, - ... and let me know if the Marbles R6 sight is 'windage adjustable'???
I have a line on a Marbles R6 right now, - ... but don't want to buy it and have an issue similar to the one with the Lyman tang sight.
Many thanks in advance, ... 1rknrbn
