Welcome to the forum. I am guessing that you might be located in Kentucky. We are glad to have another member and hope that you will find us helpful. There is a lot of good stuff about the Remington's here and if you have any questions, please ask and we will try and get you an answer.

As to the "jackitis", it isn't really that bad. Symptoms usually subside after a purchase or two or three or.... There is no cure, only temporary relief.

Thanks for the welcome, it will be nice to talk to people that actually know what a Model 8 is. I have had more questions like " What kind of shotgun is that?" or " is that a BB gun?" than "Wow, a model eight, what caliber is it?". Well, actually, never been asked the last one. Will try to post a pic.
