9/11 anniversary

Post by Roger »

I would like to say a few words about the 9/11 annivesary today. I'm so glad that we live in a country where we are free to live as we like( mostly). And we need to take a few minutes to thank our military, police, emt's, and firemen today on this sad anniversary.also just say a little prayer for all the families whose lives were forever changed that day by those senseless and cowardly acts of the terrorists.God bless America!

In some respects the 9/11/01 attack on our country is more devestating than the Japanese attack on 12/7/41. Beginning in 1941 we mobilized, raised military forces of 16 million men, women and industry converted to war material production to arm and equip our military forces to protect our country and defeat our enemies. It took nearly 4 years and a loss of over 405 thousand military forces lives to acomplish this goal and longer to secure a lasting peace.
In the 11 years since 9/11 we have yet to defeat our enemies and their are many reasons of why we have failed to accomplish this goal. The reasons are varied and I will not get into my thoughts on that but I am sure we all could add to such a list.
In the meantime we honor those who have born the brunt, sacrificed their lives and bodies and wonder if this war will ever end in a victory for mankind and world at peace.
