Model 8 recently acquired

Here's my model 8 that I got off of Gun Broker. She's not the prettiest thing ever but serviceable. Haven't had a chance to fire it yet. Bore is good but not bright. Rifling is prominent and defined. There's flecking on the bluing. Screw heads all look good. Wood has usual wear and tear plus that black patch on the butt.
When I picked up the rifle the ffl holder said it must have been John Dillinger's gun since it has "JD" carved in the stock. I thought that was probably a little far fetched but did a little research to see if it might be true. Serial number indicates 1930 manufacture so that works. Need more research though. Sure enough in "Public Enemies" Johnny Depp, err... I mean John Dillinger grabs a model 8 as he breaks out of Crown Point. At that point of course the gun doesn't have "JD" carved in the stock. He probably did that later on in the movie, err...I mean later before he was killed. Since it's Dillinger's gun it's worth a lot more than I paid for it, but don't try to talk me out of it I'm going to hang on to it for a while.
Anyway here's some pictures. Older camera and I'm not a photographer.
