scopes

I have seen model 8s with scopes. I would like to add one to my rifle. Any suggestions as to the availability?

At this time, a M81 or M8 with an unmolested receiver has much more appeal and value than one that has a lot of holes drilled in it for a scope base. These are short-range rifles, never noted for their grouping ability, and if you have the need to shoot at distances of greater than 100-150 yards, the best approach by far is to buy a newer bolt action (or whatever other type you prefer) rifle and scope it.
