New Years Resolution

Hey Guys,

What would a New Year be without some resolutions? :) The “jackitis” has been in remission for sometime and I thought it might be a good time to see if it is permanent, like I believe that would ever happen. I thought I would share my resolutions in hopes that some of you might be able to help me achieve them. :D

I am going to give it a good shot, pardon the pun, ;) to see if I can complete some objectives as it pertains to the rifles that we all like. Many of you are aware of my desire to obtain some rifles that have barrel codes that match the serial number year of issue. There is nothing magic about these rifles and is a quirk that I have in my colleting objectives. :o My last posting about this issue was August 2, 2012 and thanks to the guys at S and H Hunt Club, I was able to get a couple of the rifles. :D

In checking my computer records I found that I had entered some data incorrectly and as a consequence I found that I needed to get additional guns to fill this niche. :o

I would consider trading some of my rifles to get any of the rifles that I am seeking. The list below gives the year, serial number range and last digit of the barrel code. The month is not important as long as the year is correct.

Model 8

1921 44826-45938 ?M The (?) denotes the month.

1923 47298-48826 ?P

1925 50137-51519 ?S

1932 65466-66360 ?A

1934 66868-67676 ?C

Model 81

1944 21580-21694 ?NN

1945 Got It!!!!!!!

FN 1900

Looking for 3 rifles to complete the “Dirty Dozen” that sighthound challenged me to meet. 8-)

If any of you can help me, I would appreciate hearing from you. Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Kindest Regards,

Hey Jack,

I think you have the wrong serial number spread on the model 81 for the year 1944. I think it should be 21580-21694. Double check.

I will look to see if I have any of the ones on the list. I know of a few rifles that you outbid me on that I would love to have a second chance at owning.

Happy New Year to you and all on board.

Thank you for your time.

ROB

Hey Rob,

Thanks for pointing out the erro on the range for the 1944. I made the correction. This typo is indicative of my typing skills these days and explains why I am always finding errors in my records on these rifles.

If you happen to have any that I am looking for and I can give up one that you were bidding on that is not a "must" have in my collection, I will certainly be willing to consider a trade.

Kindest Regards,

Jack
