Safety Lever with "roller"!?!

I picked up a safety set for my Model 8 a while back because it looked to have some sort of gee=whiz after market chrome roller attached to it. Don't have pix right now...so I will describe. There is a nickeled roller approximately the diameter of the charging lever......bolted to the center of the safety lever where the safety makes its angle (upward of where the safety piece goes into the receiver). It looks like it is supposed to knock the safety lever down when the bolt is pulled back. Only problem is that upon installation on my model 8 it would not let the bolt travel back far enough to lock and I don't think it will allow a cartridge to feed from the magazine. Anybody have any ideas??????? Sure does look good.... :?:

Hey keno,

I have never heard or seen what you are describing. :o :o I can't offer an explanation at this time but I'll start looking. I would sure like to see some close up pictures pictures. If you have trouble uploading the pictures, contact 81police and I am sure he can post them for you. We all will be waiting to see this oddity.

This is all hyper but I just had the crazy thought that someone was trying to make it release the safety automatically when charging the action, just a wild thought with out a pic to go off of.
