I've found a Model 8 Law Enforcement model with one 20 rd magazine. I'd say the bluing is 93-95%, maybe a little better. Can someone give me a ballpark figure on what it may be worth.,
So far the owner doesn't want to sell and will think on it. I mentioned I've seen Model 8/81's go for btw $800-1200, and he said he wouldn't sell it at that price. Hence my question.
It's in 35 Remington.
Thank-you for your help

Hey biglou13,
Welcome to the forum. Value is hard to determine without seeing the rifle. The price is all over the place but I would say that the average price for the police models is in the $3000-4000 range.
To the best of my knowledge, and some other resident experts, the Police Models were never made with a 20 shot removable magazine. The POE only made 15 shot magazines as a maximum. There are a few 5 shot magazines and even fewer 10 shot magazines. If it is indeed a 20 shot magazine someone would have had to modify an existing magazine. I would suggest you check the capacity to verify the magazine capacity.
What law enforcement agency that had the rifle?

Don't know what LE agency, but will ask the owner, he owns the pawn shop, next time I see him.
